As to the definition of Marx' and Engels' ideology, there are quite different ideas between the Chinese and the foreign experts. The latter ones usually divided their ideas into three parts: derogation, neutrality and condition. In my opinion, these three ideas are not accurate on understanding the concept of Marx' and Engels' ideology. As a matter of fact, in Marx' and Engels' theories, it is a general class concept and a general social cognition theory. So we could define it a complete conceptual system and a social cognition theory, which is born reflecting the social existence and the basic interests of a certain class. The ideology is constituted of cognition-explanation level, value-faith level, object-device level, and carrier-medium level, which construct the internal construction of the ideology. Moreover, the self-organization of the ideology means ideology's self-production, self-definition, self-construction and self-development under the decision of economic foundation. It is initiated and set by the internal construction of ideology and embodied as initiative, intention, transcendence, cognition, imbalance, succession and integration.Under the background of the globalization, the Socialist ideology and the Capitalist ideology exist together while struggle against each other. We should insist on the Marxism as an instruction in the Socialist ideology construction, in the process of which, not only the leadership of Marxism should be asserted, but also the opening to other sorts of ideology is to be kept, i.e., we should insist on the unity of the leadership and opening. With the precedence of keeping the leadership of the Socialist ideology, inherit critically the spiritual cultural production reflecting the human being's exploration to the world amid the Capitalist ideology, in order to continually develop and accomplish the Socialist ideology, and finally exceeding the Socialist ideology, achieve Communism.
