The difference between Classical Pragmatism and New Pragmatism is thethemes discussed by them transformed from experience to language, which kept pacewith the "Turn of language"of Philosophy in 20 century. With the help ofreconstructing of conceptions of experience, Classical Pragmatism argued againsttraditional Dualism in Philosophy and protected belief in Religion, Democracy andother value inquiry. Concept "experience"of Classical Pragmatism built in thefoundation of mutual relationship between Organism and Environment, in theirunification we cannot distinguish object from subject, therefore, which transcendedframe of Epistemology in traditional Empiricism. After Analytical Philosophyintroduced to America, some philosophers holding standpoints of Pragmatisminspected and absorbed recognition of language and Logical analysis in AnalyticalPhilosophy, which worked as an indispensable part in the transition from experienceto language prepared a stable foundation for rising of Pragmatism. Rorty, who is atypical scholar in New Pragmatism, believes that Empiricism of Classical Pragmatismbuilt in the conception of "given", which is the "Dogma of Empiricism"should beabandoned. Because of this, Rorty claims reserve Pragmatism and give up Empiricism.New Pragmatism of Rorty made language as its thesis, which followed principle ofLinguistics directly. We always think that from experience to language Reconstructingof Philosophy and Keeping the relationship between Philosophy and living experienceis the common spirit in Classical Pragmatism and New Pragmatism. Contrastingtraditional Philosophy, Pragmatism went another way from its birth, so rebuildingtraditional Philosophy is its chief task. In every moment of its development,Pragmatism resisted any Reason that departed from living experience. Pragmatismtold us that Philosophy should keep in touch with issues of Morality, Belief, Politicsand Value other than imitate Natural Science and lose itself in the transcendentalmetaphysics.
