With the accepting and integrating of different ideological trends, aestheticism trend came to China in WUSI Age. Its distinctive artistic spirit and unique artistic form conform to its age, resulting in a great shock to Chinese theatrical circles in the 1920s. With the care of the eastern field of vision, aestheticism, to a larger extent, accepts variations understood by the Chinese. It has also shed light on the theoretical construction of Chinese theatre in the aspects of form and tragic aestheticism. The emphasis on its form has further enlightened those national drama activists to discover its values, paving the way for the nationalization of Chinese theatre. Its creation has taken in western aesthetic thoughts and mixed with traditional aesthetic appreciation, leading to Chinese aesthetic style with its three themes: solipsism's love, life is art, seeking-drifting. The theatrical form embodies linguistic exaggeration, mystical image and mood, melancholy and sentimental style, multi-variety of artistic means absorption. All of them has made theatre display its eastern beauty under the cover of west aestheticism.
