To Chinese traditional painting ,the 20th century was full of suffering and a period of innovations ,unprecedented, profoundly, in which the most remarkable change, was , undoubtedly that the language system of Chinese painting completed the transformation from classical to modern .This thesis attempts to explore some orders under the phenomena of the innovation of Chinese painting form through retrospecting and thinking the whole course of the century's language system transition and also attempts to acquire some experiences that perhaps would be benefit for newer development of the present Chinese painting .Firstly ,it summarizes the found mental feature of Chinese classical painting's language system and essentially relates the influence bought by aesthetic interest transformation in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty. Secondly , it devides three period to argue the course of the transformation of the Chinese painting ' language system as well as the development status and characteristics of every stage .thirdly, it concludes the gain and loss of the experiences of a century's exploring form from several aspects as the following :the close and open of the painting' language system nationalization ,harsh and tolerance of the theory environment ,harmony and misplacing of the language and spiritual aspects .finally it hopes that the Chinese painting would rebuild it own value system and alleviate the disequilibrium of the development between Chinese painting's "diagrammatic" and "spirit" on the basis of exploring Chinese painting's form in order to enter a new stage...
