The Study Of The Inscription Prose Of Sung Dynasty

The inscription prose, as a category which is standing side by side with the inscription poetry, is prose inscribed on paintings.The inscription prose consists of the picture eulogy, the painting colophon and the painting record. The picture eulogy was popular during the Eastern Han, and got the greatest developments during Sung dynasty. Both the painting colophon and the painting record were all originating in Tang dynasty and shaping themselves in Sung dynasty.In this paper, the introduction introduces the condition and reasons about the subject. The first chapter explores the picture eulogies of Sung dynasty. The second chapter explores the painting colophons of Sung dynasty. The third chapter explores the painting records of Sung dynasty. The last part explores the relationship between the picture eulogies, the painting colophons and the painting records of Sung dynasty, between the inscription prose and the inscription poetry of Sung dynasty.
