ln this paper,the author mostly analyses and summarizes the phase characteristics of the changing of the sinology in the Late Qing Dynasty and briefly comments them by combining the academic transformation of in modern China.The paper mainly consists of five segmentas.The introduction indicates it is necessary to study the changing of the sinology in the Late Qing Dynasty,and the author briefly outlines the phase characteristics of the sinology in the middle period of Qing Dynasty.ln the first chapter, the author analyses the turning of the sinology in the middle period of Qing Dynasty. The turning includes both the innovation of the sinology theory and the manifold direction of study. In the second chapter, the author analyses the two characteristics of both the amalgamation of the textual research and meaning and the transfixion of the textual research and utilitarianism,and sums up the achievements of the sinology in the Late Qing Dynasty.The third chapter analyses four characteristics of the change of the sinology in the early 20th century.Namely the amalgamation of both Chinese and Western learning; study basing itself upon the sinology; pulling down the inviolability of Confucianist classics; the renaissance of Zhuzixue.The last part summarizes whole changing general trends of the sinology in the Late Qing Dynasty,its effects,its end-result and its orientation during entile academic transformation since Song Dynasty.
