Females were always not admitted to schools in ancient China, but it definitely does not mean that controller neglected their education. On the contrary, according to the records kept from the early Qin Dynasty, education on females was not subordinated to that of males, though the purpose was quite different, therefore the correspondent teaching materials came into being. These types of materials embodied specialty of females' education in ancient China, which mainly reflectedon the aim of the education------to advocate females to oriente themselveswith families, religion and nation, to teach them to consciously performs "obey their fathers, when they are young; obey their husbands, when they are getting married; obey their son, when their husbands die", to cultivate the internal servants for the paternal society.The research target of this thesis is Tang Dynasty's female teaching books. The first chapter focuses on the female teaching books of the pre-Tang Dynasty, which mainly serves as the transition. Through the tracing source of the books, it first points out the golden rules for education females scattered in Qin and Confucian classics. Then it describes two female teaching books kept till today: "Commandment on Females", "Legends of Heroic Women". Finally, a generalization is madeon these two significant books.The second chapter concentrates on Tang Dynasty's female education and books concerning it. Firstly, to clearly describe female teaching situations, females of Tang Dynasty are divided into two groups which were able to accept the orthodox female teaching. Though they belonged to different classes with different education situations, still by and large they enjoyed education system passed from early Qin Dynasty. Meanwhile because the development of the society and changed of dynasties, the actual operation of female education processed their unique peculiarities. The situation involved in Tang Dynasty's female teaching books are based on two "Tang books": "JingJiZhi","YiWenZhi" and "Research on Successive Dynasties Women Works" made by Hu Wenkai. Starting from the comparison and contrast among these books, a deep understanding can be gained on Tang Dynasty's Female teaching books.The third chapter makes an exploration of the authors of "NvLunYu", "Scripture of Female Filial Piety" two books. This chapter is mainly based on two "Tang Books", plus some quotations can citations about the two authors' date of the birth and death, family background and life experience, etc, so that readers can better understand these two books.The four chapter discusses the text of'NvLunYu", "Scripture of Female Filial Piety". This chapter is made up of four sections. The first three sections centers on the two books involved in the writingbackground, purpose of the books and draws a conclusion. The fourth section made some generalizations about Tang Dynasty's mothers' education culture coming from these two books.The final chapter reaches a conclusion on the significance on the future generations of "NvLunYu", "Scripture of Female Filial Piety".
