Probe Into The Intellectuals' Fighing Theme In Zongpu's Story

Zongpu, being transcendent, whose being is unique among the modem writer, possesses his own "the Fengs' landscape". As an intellectual belonging to the highest class all the time in China, the highly-educated top class intellectual is the characteristic object of Zongpu's composition. She is enamoured with intellectual-oriented composition, consequently, she owns his own unique window through which she is able to survey the social life.Zongpu is not productive but her few works makes her able to play an important role in both modern novel history and prose history in virtue of high quality. Each of her works, so to speak, is rich in ideas and beauty. (this paper aims at her novels)Literally, she, a scholar typed writer syncretizing foreign and China, is able to keep constant the internal spirit weathering through decades— inherent qualities of the intellectual are contained in the world of her novels. She clinging to life experience and description of the intellectual, her novel world is combined with her own life blood and saturated with her understanding and belonging as well as genuine and consistent emotions for the intellectual.Since the neo-epoch, there have been relatively few articles focusing on her works study, most of which accentuate analysis and noting of one single works. Such study approaches are of course indispensable and absolute majorityof the articles are wonderful and heuristic. Whereas, the pity is they pay too much attention to minor matters and lack the sense of integrity instead of making comprehensive survey in the real macroscopical sense, less than the basic unity from the aspect of the intellectual's destiny. Based on this, in this paper we want to make some initial attempts to draw the outline of operating and developing track of destiny and road of the Chinese intellectual for more than half the century described in Zongpu's novels.This paper centers on the intellectuals' fighing theme in Zongpu's story on the basis of studying status quo and fruits. This paper, with the vertical ordinate of time, aims to probe into the psyche of Chinese intellectual via the development of the fighting theme. This paper is composed of five parts. Part I — Exordium represents the former researching fruits as well as the research angle, purpose and significance of this paper; Part II discusses the intellectual's fighting and fighting circumstances to reveal their realistic plight; Part III analyses the intellectual's three interrelated fighting stages: self-maze — self-rescue — self-search. Through fighting, the intellectual in Zongpu's novels hold their true qualities and psychic home. Part IV probes into the spiritual source of the intellectual's fighting in Zongpu's from the three aspects of traditional culture, growing surroundings and rooting; Part V surveys the significance of Zongpu's fighting theme novels from the aspect of literature history and culture history. No doubt her novel world reveals the vivid picture of the development of Chinese modern history, which facilitates our assessing in a level-headed, objective way and reflecting history. Her novels represent how staunchly the intellectual exists in the critical time, what kind of fighting they experience, how they go from fortitude to exceeding and their living will and vitality, accordingly, become a life apocalypse of the intellectual.
