One of the great musicians in the world. Beethoven was born in a family of music in Germany, he received a strict music art education form his childhood. His life was a miserable life which came from his unhappy family and the indifference of society, and which also connected with his isolation, arrogance and contempt for customs. Symphony is one of important part in Beethoven's composition. Nine symphonies of Beethoven show the pilgrim of his thought fighting with the fate. The first and second symphonies have blatant classical character, and keep a great influence from J.Haydn. The 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, symphonies show Beethoven's artistic style—the attribute of hero and fighting, Beethoven broke through the old music form and conveying content before. Another character of Beethoven's symphony is some romantic character including his 4th, 6th, 8th, symphonies, Beethoven tried to deviate from the classical composing principle, and replace the reason and intelligence with senility and imagination. Therefore some one called Beethoven a creator of romanticism. As one of the manifestations of culture, nine symphonies are connected automatically with classical aesthetics of Germany. They are the description of German society between 18th and 19th century, which also have the character of freedom and sublimity. Beethoven upheld bourgeoisie's humanism equality, freedom and universal fraternity. His thought was influenced greatly by German classical philosophy and literature, which is reflected in his compositions.
