Music Creation Of Emotion And Technique

There has been a work on the origins of music in China-The Book of Music, in which the first sentence notes that "music comes from heart". This is exactly the central argument of this paper:the human emotions are the origins of music. Are there other necessary conditions for the creation of music besides the human emotions? I believe that music starts from the human emotions at the early stage of the creation, but the support of creation technology is necessary for it in the creative process. So, what is the relationship between the emotions and technology in the music creation? We should know that the human emotions act as the motives, and the technology is the key to supporting the emotions and motives. The two factors are mutually dependent and indistinguishable. Sometimes we have the motives of music emanated from the motions, and the technology is to best express and serve the emotions; when we cannot develop music due to emotional shortage, the technology can be used to enrich music and drive the emotions. This demonstrates the dependence relationship between the emotions and technology. With an example of Beethoven’s Symphony No.5in C minor, this paper, from the perspectives of the historical background of the composer as well as that of the music creation and the composition technology at that time, analyzes the interaction between the emotions and technology in the creation of this Symphony for the purpose of studying the relationship between the emotions and technology in music creation.
