Analytical Research On The Marriage And Love And Mental-Health Status Of Postgraduates In Guizhou Province

The postgraduate's marriage and amativeness is a research scotoma scanning the past research, and the marriage quality of postgraduate is also. The past studies of postgraduate's mental health merely laid stress on the school, gender and personality's effecting. This research studied the view of postgraduate's marriage and amativeness, marriage quality and mental health respectively and synthetically. We presented some elementary results according to questionnaire survey of 233 postgraduate in the Guizhou province: 1,Postgraduate focus the quality and capability of the other party when choosing spouse ,and they have some difficulties on it. Their love motivation is solemn and earnest, they advocate marrying at a mature age,they attach coequal importance to themselves development and family. They have enlightened concept about the extramarital affair and divorce. Their sexual view is traditional,male and female postgraduate have significant differences on the chasteness. They concern more about sexual psychological and physiological problems, and they concern the quality of sexual life. On the sexual action, they have a tolerant, understanding, and solemn views. 2,Postgraduate's mental health is not good enough. Compare with the national standard of university student and young people, there have significant differences on the total score and factorial score. 3,The married postgraduate's marriage life satisfaction is higher than national standard, the material life satisfactory is lower than national standard. Husband and wife's cohesive almost equal to national standard. The quality of marriage life depends on mutual emotion, the marriage life spice, the equal and harmonious relationship, the mental intercommunion, and the styles of emotions displaying. The total marriage quality is higher than the national standard. 4,On the conditions of lower total mental health of postgraduate's , we analysis synthetically the view of marriage and amativeness, the quality of marriage's affecting to mental health. The conclusion is, the mental health of these postgraduate is lower. which is, never fallen to loved or divorced, having difficulties on choosing spouse , girl or boy friend or spouse not accompanying, girl friend or spouse having the postgraduate or superior diploma (for male postgraduate student) , boy friend or spouse having technological academy or inferior diploma (for female postgraduate), having open sexual viewpoint ,and having bad marriage quality. The result confirmed our hypothesize:The postgraduate's mental health is affected by their views of marriage and amativeness and the marriage quality.
