The System Of Auxiliary Verb In LunHeng

Auxiliary verb is an important kind of verb which can be put in front of common verb and adjective to express modal meaning of possibility will and desire. There are the following system members: 能,可,足,得,可以,欲,敢,肯,愿,当,宜。The seniors deeply studied the auxiliary verb in modern Chinese, and they have put forward some new ideas. Nevertheless, up to now there still remains some problem in the research of auxiliary verb. The system of auxiliary verb has been set up in the Pre-Qin Dynasty, and our seniors have done over-all research in it. But the study of auxiliary verb in Han Dynasty comparatively lack. So we should strengthen the syudy of auxiliary verb in Han Dynasty. In this dissertation, we investigate the combination of auxiliary verb in the sentence structure, then sum up grammatical function . We analyze sematic meaning and compare them. To show the basic aspects of auxiliary verb in "Lun Heng". On the basis of synchronic description we compare them diachronicly with Pre-Qin Dynasty to find the development and variety in "Lun Heng".
