The Taishan dialect belongs to the Cantonese siyi dialect, and it is quite complicated. This paper analyzes and studies the auxiliary words of Taishan dialect in three parts:the aspect auxiliary, the structural auxiliary and the modal particles. In terms of aspect auxiliary, the perfect aspect marker "a33",the exhaustion aspect marker"lai33" and the subduction aspect marker "kam",the progressive aspect marker"kin551",the continuous aspect marker "(?)55","kin552" and "t?i32",Experience aspect marker "kuo33 1",the re-appearance aspect marker "kuo33 2",as well as short-term aspect, repeated aspect, etc. There are also some characteristic auxiliary words such as"?tiau21" "? liu35".This paper is focusing on their core semantics and functions, refining and trying to analyze their grammaticalization paths, involving the distinctions of the aspects, comparison with the corresponding auxiliary words of Guangzhou dialect and Mandarin; Most of the structural auxiliary words are similar to the corresponding expressions of Guangzhou dialect, and the comparison of the attributive markers are particular, while the attribute markers are more abundant;the modal auxiliary word system is relatively rich.Considering the interaction process of the final tone and intonation,it can be divided into query modal particles(ma33,me55,m(?)33,ne22,ku55+other particles,ha21),modality particles(ke33,va33,a33,ia55,ne22,vu33,t?(?)32+other particles,i24,va214,(?)21+other particles)and condition modal particles(l(?)33).In addition,Taishan dialect has a variety of intonation types, such as high-key,low drop-key,low flat-key and promotional tones, which express different mood meanings.
