Abstract elements are exsiting objectively in ancient and modern painting works of China and Foreign Countries, and it of the composing is the basic framework to prop up the whole paintings. This paper just looks for the inside contact between the contemporary decorative fresco and the abstract elements according to the research in the definition, spiritual connotation of the abstract elements and its development and comparison, then draws and chooses application of the abstract elements in representing works of Chinese decorative fresco to be in progress of research, so as to explore and discuss the several problems involved in Chinese modern abstract plastic arts, decorative fresco arts and environmental designs.This thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter I puts forward the argument and, the scholar meanings and the actual value of research.
