| Leisure is not the main intention of Marx's theoretical research, but we can't deny Marx's regulation done toward significance and value of leisure, which is closely connected with Marx's kernel value—the all-round development of person. This dissertation interprets Marx's thought of leisure in terms of value philosophy, which is based on Marx's stipulating value intension of leisure: First, leisure is a kind of living pattern as well as a value ideal, it is a value goal pursuing dynamic development that is realized constantly during the practical experience of life of people; Second, leisure is not only a question of free-time, but also person's value orientation. Synthesizing the two connations, Marx advanced that leisure is a question of creating, possessing and using free-time, leisure is an important form of value being and actualization, and person's generating process to freedom and all-round development, too.The dissertation consists of four parts: introduction; three chapters, amongst which chapter one is the theoretical foundation for the dissertation, and chapter two through chapter three make up the body of it and the last part is the conclusion. With regard to the method of study, this article tries to study from Marx's original works conbines with the evaluation to Marx's thought of leisure from the latest experts in leisure study, what the goal is to get and understand the significance and value of leisure from various perspectives. This dissertation bases its argumentation on the significance of leisure to person's value realization from Marx's view. By grasping the connotation of leisure in marx's free-time theory, this article discloses the value and significance of leisure.Introduction advances that the dissertation studies Marx's thought of leisure in a perspective angle from the view-point in value philosophy, and explains its reality and theory significance, which is brought about after conclusion and comment on the reality and theory background in leisure study.
