Self-regulated learning means the learning mode that under the macro adjustments and controls of the overall teaching goal, the learner makes and finishes learning goal concretely according to theirs own condition and need under the guidance of teacher.Research on self-regulated learning abroad has a very long history and can be traced back to ancient Greece. In China, the history of research of self-regulated learning is longer than foreign countries; it can be traced back to pre-Qin period. According to the research character, the history of research of self-regulated learning can roughly be divided into three stages: proposition stage of the thought about self-regulated learning; preliminary experiment stage of self-regulated learning; system research stage of self-regulated learning.This research is made up of two parts. First, quantitative research: Self-regulated learning is one hot question of educational psychology research, and a focus of language teaching research, too. Among the research on foreign language learning of university student, self-regulated learning of student was paid close attention to. The researchers all realize that the cultivation of learner's independent ability of foreign language is not only a kind of education view or teaching method, but also should become the key component of the teaching final purpose. The importance of study subject in foreign language learning cannot be ignored; therefore, to train students' ability of self-regulated learning becomes the inalienable part of content of courses in foreign language.This research is made up of two parts. First, quantitative research: Among 329 university students collected and tested, with "self-questionnaire on university students' self-regulated learning" as the testing tool, we investigated the relevant situation of university students' foreign language learning at the same time.
