A Research On The Application Of Visual Flow In Poster Designing

As an art featuring the characteristic of graphic design, poster focuses on the theme and visual message. Therefore designers are likely to emphasis on visuality and picture and neglect the structure behind various of visual factors. As an inner principle of designing, visual flow takes the effective direction and transaction of visual message as basic function. An excellent visual flow can direct the audience to get the best visual result with a reasonable order, rapid method, and effective approach.The article takes its root on the inner structural language of poster designing. It creatively puts the visual flow designing into the practice of poster designing from the aspect of visual flow. The article begins with the physiology and psychology base, analyzes the importance of visual flow designing, and finally concludes the principle and its application in poster designing. In the end, it takes in the essence of Chinese traditional culture and transcend the structure oftraditional Chinese painting into the visual flow designing of poster. The article puts the poster' s function as visual flow and message communication to a high place, beyond the previous research on traditional visual language. It is hoped that the research could provide certain help and contribution to the inner structure designing and mainland of poster.
