Self-control system of preschool children develops with the inhibition behavior, which has been widely investigated in the field of developmental psychology and neuropathology. However the former researchers did not differentiate the different paradigms, nor did they evaluate the implications and relations between different inhibition between different inhibition styles. Thus the aim of the present thesis is to investigate the possible relationships between social inhibition of temperament and executive attention. We use the method of questionnaire and experiment and select 40 4-year-old children and 123 3-to-5-year-old children to investigate the relationships between social inhibition and executive attention. The result shows that the difficult level of task has significant influence to the evaluation of executive attention, which is applicable. There is significant correlation between social inhibition level of temperament and executive attention. The correlation is still significant exempt of the factors of age and sex, which is congruous with former researches. Thus the age 3~5 years old is the critical period of executive attention development and temperament is one of the most important factors to the executive attention.
