Being one of the significant factors affecting children’s early psychologicalbehavior development, temperament mainly determined by genetic factors is a quitestable psychological characteristics with certain plasticity. AffectiveDecision-Making(ADM) is such an ability: individuals would make choices ordecisions favorable to themselves or society when they meet value contradictionwhich could arise affective conflicts in the light of two or more matters that differ intypes or degree of value. As an adaptability to society, children’s ADM is assumed tohave an close relationship with children’s socialization and it has an influencingeffect on both individuals and society. Temperatement is the basis of children’ssocilzation, predicting children’s ability of self-adjusting on some extent or affectingchildren’s ability of living in the future, thus, children’s temperament and ADMdevelopment connect tightly. Therefore, there is a promising implication such asdeveloping children’s ADM and socialization to explore the relations and influencesbetween children’s temperament and ADM development. This research chooses5-year-olds’ temperament and ADM as breakthrough point, experimenting on35children by using Iowa gambling-task and examining themthrough their parents by NYLS “3-7year-olds’ temperament scale”. Then, this paperhas an in-depth discussion through keeping30children’s valid data and finally it getsto following conclusions:ⅠTheir ADM is still at a contunuing development stage;ⅡTheir ADM development does’t show any distinctive differences of gender;ⅢTheir temperament types are in line with distributive regularities of Chinesechildren’s temperament, mainly consisting of types of easy and immediate raisingchildren, and there is no distinctive differences of gender;ⅣIn temperament dimensions, boys take advantages over girls in regularity, adaptability, strength of reaction, persistence, etc. while girls have more strength inavtivities, avoidance, emotional nature, distractibility, response, etc.ⅤThere is a close relationship between children’s temperament types and ADMdevelopment, and part of them sharing a significant correlation;Ⅵ Their temperament types affect ADM development and play a predictive roleon it. The easy and immediate raising children’s ADM development is better than those who are difficult to raise or retarded.ⅦBased on the research findings, this paper links with other relevant researchesaffecting children’s ADM development and puts forword some educationalsuggestions used to improve children’s ADM development, that is, to promotechildren’s ADM development depending on temperament types; to develop children’sadaptability-making through intervening appropriately; to facilitate ADM’s virtuousdevelopment via respecting children and to strengthen the ability of ADM by games.
