Kong Yingda is one of the most famous scholars, estheticians and literary ideologists of Tang dynasty. The Rectification of Mao' s Book of Songs edited by him is an epochmaking classic during the history of Book of Songs' s research, poetics, esthetics and ideology. In research method, he breaks through the restrict of regarding The Book of Songs as Confucianist classics; changes the perspective of " Glorifying and Satirizing " and "Moralizing" ; and explains The Book of Songs from the literary viewpoint to construct his own poetics system. His work is an new effort to Chinese poetics ,which has abundant esthetics and poetics thoughts. Kong Yingda' s The Rectification of Mao' s Book of Songs is by no means an key point during the transfering process from the study of The Book of Songs to poetics.Kong Yingda' s The Rectification of Mao' s Book of Songs has very richesthetics and literary thoughts, but researchers have not yet pay enoughattention to these. Therefore, this thesis aims to discover the LiteraryHermeneutic Thought of Kong Yingda' s The Rectification of Mao' s Bookof Songs and to systematically study the transferring process from thestudy of The Book of Songs to poetics from the perspective of TheRectification of Mao' s Book of Songs ' s literary thought. Such work isdone with reference to the western theories of " Reception" and"Hermeneutics " , but it isn' t restricted to use the theories of"Western Center" and mechanically apply the theory systems.
