Currently, how to combine the citizenry discussion and China' s modernization has become the major concern of many Chinese scholars. In the scholars' eyes, the establishment and development of the Chinese market economy may cause a new stratum in China to appear, which is similar to what happened in the west citizen society of earlier period, and may push the social political set-up change, thus make China head for the road of the real modernization. But in the discussion, many people tend to find out in the western modernization what can be copied for the Chinas modernization, few pay attention to the combination between citizen society and Chinese traditional culture during the process of citizenry. But in effect, it is of vital importance and cannot be avoided. From the realistic point view, as the essential part of Chinese traditional culture, Confucian culture plays an important part in the construction of the Chinese citizenry, and is a precious cultural resources.This thesis, based on the analysis of the characteristics of Marxist citizenry, is intended to probe into how Chinese citizenry which is built on the market economy, differs from the Western citizenry and its current development. Starting from the major part that the traditional Confucianism plays in the economic soaring of East Asia, the author tries hard to find the combination point of Confucianism and market economy, so as To make the Chinese citizenry' s society absorb from the Chinese Confucianism culture the excellent thought result and draw lessons as well during the set-up process, thus lay solid social foundation for the modern construction.
