Research On Heilongjiang Prehistoric Unearthed Jade

The thesis aims at probing the development of prehistoric jade articles in HeiLongjiang area by analyzing 175 unearthed prehistoric HeiLongjiang jade articles and discussing some problems in this field. When the author has compared HeiLongjiang jade articles with those from the surrounding areas, and had those jade articles with definite stratum and commensal jade articles as reference, the thesis dissertates jade feature characters, functions, eras, stages and the relation between jade articles and the prehistoric culture in the surrounding area. The prehistoric unearthed jade articles had abundant connotation. Most of the jade articles were made delicately with simple and elegant feature. The polish technology has come to a mature age. The use of jade articles was mainly for decoration, while it had both practical and ceremonial function. The age of most jade articles was quite early, for the forepart may be 7500-6000 years apart from now and the later part may be 5500-4000 years apart from now. The prehistoric jade articles in HeiLongjiang area possess brilliant regional style and they have their independent origions. The development of jade articles in HeiLongjiang area , which was similar with that of the surrounding area, was interrelated with the development of those jade articles in XinglongWa and Liaoxi Hongshan culture.
