Existence And Consciousness Of Female

As a theoretic view and critical method, feminism has been penetrated into many fields of social science research for the goal of realizing the women's liberation and development. It is an important component of women's liberation to promote women's status in the fields of politics and economics, and it's more important in the field of ideology. The movies of New-era are the main carriers of patriarchy ideology in practice which should be analyzed and criticized in the perspective of feminism in order to promote women's liberation. The author selects Chinese mainland's mainstream movies since 1980's as research targets of this paper and tries to explore the development of feminism theory which will be used as the theory of analyzing texts, meanwhile conceives the future of Chinese movies in the perspective of feminism.This paper is mainly composed of three sections. Starting with the introduction of the two currents of western feminism movements and the formation of feminist theory in the west, the first chapter elaborates the feminism movie theory which comes into being under the mutual effects of feminism and movie esthetics. The author then discusses the problems of localization of feminism theory ,compares the situation of Chinese feminism with western feminism, analyses the situation of local feminism developed on the level of theory and practice. In the second chapter ,by analyzing man-centered image narrative, we learn that the patriarchy how to control effectively the women by dividing the whole society into two parts, then alienates women to satisfy all kinds of needs of man, meanwhile points out that women in the third world's like China exist asthe double otherness and then explains the reason and condition of which. In the last part of paper, the author inspects concentratedly female director's plight and breaking through since 198O's;meanwhile probes into how the women return to themselves as original ,this part contains three aspects: intensifying the women's self consciousness, creating women's image discourse and multiplying the feminine writing.
