This study makes the experiment of 46 primary school students in Grade two. Their task is to memorize the categorized material of the written language words and phrases . In this study, a microgenetic method was used to obtain the detailed data on the qualitative and quantitative aspects of change, such as the path, rate, breadth, source and variability of cognitive change and verbal report on strategies for remembering and recalling were collected. Then the results showed:First, memorizing strategy is composed of remember strategy, recall strategy and the consciousness to recall strategy. Remember strategy and the consciousness to recall strategy are key points when the individual use the memorizing strategy acctomatically and the memorizing strategy brings about movement.Second, during the development of the memorizing strategy, there are the processes of sudden change as well as gradual change. It's difficult for advanced remember strategy and individual's consciousness to recall strategy to come into being spontaneously and they will increase suddenly after training. Recall strategy is s spontaneous gradual changing process. But if there is proper intervention, it can also change suddenly.Third, when the children are facing new memorizing tasks and lacking of proper memorization strategies, most of the time, they will adopt common remember strategies.Fourth, category recall strategy can take shape easily and be made use of by individuals unconsciously. However, there are producted defects on gaining of category remember strategy and the consciousness to recall strategy.Fifth, exercises and training are two factors which lead to the change of strategies. It is not the degree of the task's difficulty that cause the change of strategies.Sixth, once grasped by the children, category memory strategy will immediately have a positive effect on the children's memorizing results. And it seldom appears the phenomenon of strategy applying defects.Seventh, the training of strategies is important and positive in promoting the children's master of category memory strategy and improving the children's memory works. Meanwhile, simple exercises have some compensatory effects on the development of strategies.
