Liang Qichao is a remarkable esthetician in the aesthetic history of modern China. He has proposed numerous research topics on the aesthetics. For example, he has discussed about the issues of the"Three Revolution"in art, the status of taste and interest in the human life, the nature and function of art, the relationship between practicality and aesthetism, the characteristics and function of emotion, the importance of the emotional education and the taste education, the relationship between art and science, the natural and artificial features in the artworks, and so on. His research has been beyond the research scope of the classical Chinese art, and manifested the trend towards the modern art.Liang Qichao's aesthetic statements during the interim stage showed miscellaneous styles. In this dissertation, the ideological aspect was chosen in particular among the numerous facets. The realization forms and the origins of the ideology in Liang Qichao's aesthetic ideas were discussed. In addition, its influence on the Chinese aftertime art was explored.1. In the early stage, Liang Qichao advocated that literature was the key in the salvation of China, which was built around the concept of"Three Revolution". Latter, his ideology in aesthetics was included in the intentions to reconstruct the national spirits by art and taste and retrieve the country by aesthetic education.2. The ideology in Liang Qichao's aesthetics was the production of the modern Chinese historical and cultural background. Besides, it was greatly influenced by the Japanese and western culture. Meanwhile, the effects of the Confucianism and his own personalities should not be ignored.3. Liang Qichao's ideology in aesthetics carries the features of the time. It contributes a lot to the modernistic transition of the Chinese art. However, it has exerted negative influences on the aftertime Chinese art. His aesthetic ideology should be interpreted under the unique historical and cultural background.
