The Chan is a kind of the Chinese Fo Religion that has been the sect of the Chinese race combined the Fo Religion and the Chinese traditional culture. It appeared in Tang Dynasty when had been a hundred thoughts contending and many religious sects standing up as a forest. The Chan were multiplying greatly in the Chinese earth and became the main current among the numerous religious sects in the end. It affected deeply the religion of the Chinese Fo and the Chinese civilization including the Chinese culture. It became the most important part of the Chinese civilization. During the development history of the chan about a thousand years, as a kind of religious form, the Chan has been paid attention by the people. It wrote down a colorful record with the thick ink on the religious history and the cultural histories of China.The Chan had the profound influence upon the development history of the culture of Japanese. The influence has kept on up to now. It is concerning the art, thought, life, and culture of Japanese now. It has been the best case of the communication between the Chinese Culture and the Japanese Culture which the trace of the Chan is still at today. South Sung Dynasty is special period that it is the important part during developing the Chan history and the active time of the cultural interaction between China and Japan. The landscape painting became the body carrying the Chan thought and elaborating the Chan management, because the Chan loves the nature. This thesis will had tried to study the spot that the Chinese landscape painting influence to the Japanese water and ink painting while the early time of the Japanese painting, and will had reviewed the Chinese culture influence on all countries in the East Asia ,all over world throughout the clue of the inheriting and mastery of the Chan. We clarify that the oriental culture will be face the culture return to return again one high peak during science and technology is flourishing today.
