| Objective:1. Understand the status of mental subhealth in students of universities in Guangzhou district2.Analyse correlative factors of mental subhealth on the students of universities in Guangzhou district3. Analyse purpose of living and it's effect on mental subhealth on the students of universities in Guangzhou districtSubjective and Methods:1. This research is from different grade and 6 universities. Their major include medicine, agronomy, physical, art, literature and mathematics. We get 97.7% of the survey papers from the 703 person to whom we gave the papers. 677 papers, which is 98.5%, are in effect.2. Questionary content: basic information, Cornell Medical Index, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, The Self-Esteem Scale, Spheres of Control, PIL, Quality of Life Inventory.3. Data input and statistic analyse: all the information is used to set up a data base by FoxPro6.0, and is processed by statistic software SPSS12.0. The statistic wayincludes Descriptive statistic, normal distribution test, T-test, Bivariate Correlations analysis, Chi-square test, ONE-WAY ANOVA, Rank transform analysis. Results:1.Mental subhealth condition of college students in Guangzhou district17.4% of college students in Guangzhou district have the problem of mental subhealth.12.7% of the male college students have the mental subhealth problem, which is much lower than 24.7% of the female college students in Guangzhou district, the difference is significant (P<0.001) . Different major have a different problem proportion: art(33.3%), science(21.1%), physical education(16.7%), medicine(13.4%), agriculture(12.4%), literature(11.5%), the difference is significant (P<0.001) . 48.9% of the senior students have the problem of mental subhealth, 23.2% of the sophomore have the same problem, 16.9% of the fresher have that problem, and only 2% of the junior students have the problem, the difference is significant (P<0.01) . 66.7% of the college students which have not got job before they entered the college have the problem. 28.6% of the college students which have got job before they entered the college have the problem.And only 16.5% of the college students which were students before they entered the college have the problem, the difference is significant (P<0.05) . 19% of the college students which come from city have the problem, 17.8% of the college students which come from town have the problem, and only 15.1% of the college students coming from country have the problem, the difference is significant (P<0.05) .2. Analysis for the correlative factors of mental subhealthThe the level of tension of the college students in Field III about learning is lower than that of the students in Field I (P<0.05); the expect of the students in Field III for looking for a job is pessimism than the students in Field I (P<0.05); thefrequency of masturbation is lower than that in Field I (P<0.05); they have less sex knowledge than the students in Field I (P<0.05); the frequency of exercise is lower than that in Field I (P<0.01); exercise intension is lower than that in Field I (P<0.001); the E score is lower than that in Field I (P<0.001); The N score is higher than that in Field I (P<0.001); the level of self-respect is lower than that in Field I (P<0.001); the ability to self-control is lower than that in Field I (P<0.001); the level of purpose of living is lower than that in Field I (P<0.001).3. Analyse the relationship between mental subhealth and satisfaction about meaning of living.The scores of the college students in Field III about purpose of living and first item and ninth item and eleventh item and twelfth item are lower than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.001); The scores of the college students in Field III about second item and fifteenth item and eighteenth item and nineteenth item are higher than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.001) ; The scores of the college students in Field III about third item and fourthly item and sixteenth item are lower than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.05); The scores of the college students in Field III about fifthly item and seventeenth item are higher than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.01); The scores of the college students in Field III about sixth item and eighth item and twentieth item are lower than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.01) ; The score of the college students in Field III about tenth item are higher than that of the students in Field I, the difference is significant (P<0.05 ) .4. Analyse the relationship of purpose of living with basic information and each examination.The undergraduates' level of purpose of living in Guangzhou district is lowerthan that of foreign undergraduates; the scores of purpose of living are different while the undergraduates have different satisfaction about speciality or different foreground of job or different mother who have different education background or different expectations from their parents or different accord between their ideal and expectation from their parents or different status of their family or different sex charm or different frequency of exercise or different intention in learning or different fancy in culture or different worth view of job choosing or different doing on Internet, the difference is significant (P<0.001) ; the scores of purpose of living are different while the undergraduates have different exercise intension, the difference is significant (P<0.01) ; the scores of purpose of living are different while the undergraduates have different status of marriage, the difference is significant (P<0.05 ) .The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the ability to self-control (r=0.591) ; The score of purpose of living is significant negative correlation with the score of EPQ-N (r=-0.364) ; The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the score of EPQ-E (r = 0.349) ; The score of purpose of living is significant negative correlation with the score of MR(r =-0.324); The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the level of self-respect (r = 0.596) ; The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the score of quality about physical living (r=0.495) ; The score of s purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the score of quality about mental living t (r=0.694) ; The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the score of quality about social living (r=0.376) ; The score of purpose of living is significant positive correlation with the score of environmental quality (r=0.420) .Conclusion:1.17.4% students have mental subhealth in Guangzhou district, which is almost near the number(10%-30%) happened abroad.2. All these people( including Female, the people whose major is art, senior students, the students having social experience and the student from city)seem to have more probability of having the mental subhealth.3.Here are some correlative factors which can form mental subhealth: mental problem within close relatives; characteristic with high psychoticism and diffidence; lower self-respect, worse ability to self-control; without clear belief, lack of purpose of living; low sex charm; lack of sex knowledge; not enough exercise ; great study pressure; great job pressure.4. Satisfaction about meaning of living is consanguineous with mental subhealth.5. The undergraduates' level of purpose of living in Guangzhou district is lower that of foreign undergraduates.6. Better ability to self-control, higher self-respect, with lover, high sex charm, satisfaction about speciality, good foreground of job, cared by others, high quality about living, good education background of mother, expectations from their parents accord between their ideal, good status of their family are propitious to form purpose of living, characteristic with high psychoticism and diffidence go against purpose of living.7. Purpose of living are propitious to positive philosophy, are represented by stronger learning motivation, more interest, have long project, attach importance to the things which are make sense for lifetime.8.Suggestion according to distributing character and correlative factor of mental subhealthrgive more care to the people who may get mental subhealth easily; do more research to study if there is a relationship between mental subhealth and heredity; strengthen mental education and sex education; acknowledge the difficult of the students as soon as possible, and give group to the common problem; give parents special education according to their children's age, and have a good negotiation withthem, strengthen education on purpose of living. |
