This paper applies some notions and methods of cognitive linguisitics to the analysis of the distributional dissymmetry of degree adverb phrases. Et includes three parts:(i)The first part describes the syntax functions of degree adverb phrases ,which was the base of our study. Then, this part also points out the distributional dissymmetry of degree adverb phrases.(ii)The second part lays its stress on the explanations to the distributional dissymmetry from the following aspects: semantic; pragmatic; subjectivity.(iii)The last part discusses the relations of being now visible, now invisible between degree adverb phrases and "的" "地" .This study will make some positive contributions to the study of degree adverb and the practice of teaching Chinese as a second language.
