Wei,Jin South and North Dynasty was one important period in the history of China's charity undertaking.The charity of the period,which formed a connecting link between the charity of Pre-Qin, the Two Han Dynasties and the charity of Sui and Tang Dynasties,developed further comparing the charity of former dynasties.The charity ideology of the period mainly originated in charity ideas of the Pre-Qin philosophers,charity idea of Buddhism and charity idea of Taoism.The charity of the period can be mainly divided into the official charity,personal and folk charity,Buddhist charity.The charity of the period was deeply influenced by Buddhism;the earliest charitable organizations in ancient China were founded during the period;the charity was very active and performed by all the social classes in various ways.All of them are characteristics of the charity of Wei,Jin South and North Dynasty,which had some positive effect on stabilizing the society and developing the economy and culture.
