Zhu Shunshui was a famous thinker and social educator lived in between Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty. He was also a philosopher who enlightened pragmatic learning thought in Japan. At this point, he was a great messenger of the Sino-Japanese culture exchange. When he was living in Japan, he wrote lots of mails。 And when talking about history of Sino-Japanese culture exchange, investigators never dig into his mails. My thesis tries to do some investigation about these mails. This thesis first demonstrates the types of the envelope of Zhu Shunshui's mails, then analyses the common sense of the mails and the styles of the mails and the correspond the system of ritual。 This thesis start from classifying three kinds of mails by the identity of the receiver. These three kinds are: mails to relatives, political person and students. All these three kinds had different content and features. Meanwhile, I attaches great importance to the academical value , passion factor and cultural meaning of the students' kind of mails 。 The content of Zhu Shunshui's mails was mainly about four areas: politics, education, philosophy and finance and the soul of his mails is the fact, real principle, practice, pragmatical pragmatic learning thoughts。 Zhu Shunshui's blew the wind of pragmatic learning thoughts in Japanese thinking, academy and education up the fog of Neo-Confucianism of Cheng and Zhu and Wang Yangming's ideology on mind ,and then enlightened the Japanese thinkers. In Japan, Zhu Shunshui used a special method of teaching—he taught his students by mails. Those students formed the ideological trend of considering scientific proof as an important aspect, administering the country and succoring the masses in the public affairs(Jing Shi Zhi Yong), calling for reform to make Japan stronger, and all those put Japan forward. This thesis concluded that, The contribution of Zhu Shunshui's mails in spreading out not only pragmatic learning thoughts and educating Japanese talents in Han learning, but also improving Sino-Japanese culture exchange and pushing the modern Japanese society to reformation is very important. His mails had an outstanding contribution in theoretical area and a special position in academic area, and it was also an explicit guide. Its influence in Japanese society was very deeply.
