Empathy Of Children Of 4-6 Years Old In Aggression Circumstances

Empathy of children is related of not only prosocial act and aggression act, but also peer relationships. Through interviewing ninety children of 4—6 years old, this paper grades the empathy of the children in different cause and motivation aggression circumstances. The children are divided into five different social status by peer nomination, then compare their empathy in different cause and motivation aggression circumstances. As the results show:a) Empathy of subject to victimer in reactive aggression circumstances is significantly higher than in proactive aggression circumstances , empathy of subject to aggressor in proactive aggression circumstances is significantly higher than in reactive aggression circumstances, it shows that empathy of children is affected by aggression cause.b) Empathy of children to victimer in instrumental aggression circumstances is significantly higher than in hostile aggression circumstances , empathy of children to aggressor in hostile aggression circumstances is significantly higher than in instrumental aggression circumstances, it shows that empathy of children is affected by aggression motivation.c) Empathy of children to victimer is significantly higher than to aggressor in reactive aggression circumstances, there is no significance difference in proactive aggression circumstances, it shows that empathy of children is different to objects by aggression cause.d) Empathy of children to victimer is significantly higher than to aggressor in instrumental aggression circumstances, there is no significance difference in hostile aggression circumstances, it shows that empathy of children is different to objects by aggression motivation.e) Empathy of popular children is significantly higher than the other children, their empathy is high not only to victimer but also to aggressor.
