These issues include: pocket design for nurses not considerable, uniform design for doctors incomplete, problems on protection and differentiation of normal uniforms, less protection of low collar, less differentiation between doctors and nurses. Further more, this paper applies the principle of fashion design to relocate the funcationality for medical professional uniforms of different departments and roles. By analysing on current situation of functional design for medical professional uniforms in the aspects of pattern, color, fabric, structure and detail, this paper lists many problems offunctional design tor medical professional uniforms. Moreover, this paper proposes design suggestions on improvement of pattern, classification of color and fabric, choosing of attachment. Thus functionality and differentiation of medical professional uniforms can be enhanced through adoption of fabric and color and design on pattern, structure and detail. White color is most suitable for medical professional uniforms to meet the custom, while light color can be used by nurse uniforms to differentiate from doctor uniforms.
