With the exacerbation of environmental crisis, study of Ecological Ethicsis becoming a hot research area. There have been many relative researches inthis aspect;esp. in the west, Ecological Ethics has become an academicbranch with great dimension and depth. There also appear many academicschools with different views. In contrast, although there are some researcheson Ecological Ethics home, it is inadequate especially in view of the disregardof the research on Christian Ecological Theology. Christian EcologicalTheology forms in the process of contemporary and modern Christian'sconcern with environmental crisis. It has deeply influenced the ideology ofmodern western ecology and practice of ecological protection. Without anunderstanding of Christian Ecological Theology, it will be very difficult for usto grasp the whole system of Ecological Ethics ideology. This article takes the idea of the famous German ecological theologistMoltmann as a basis and tries to grasp Christian Ecological Theology by wayof combing Moltmann's ecological theology thoughts. This article first startswith analyzing the external conditions and internal necessities of theemergence of Moltmann's ecological theology, then comes to the conclusionsbelow through an analysis of Moltmann's discussions on the relation amongGod, Nature and Human as well as his view on Taoism.First, it's a necessity in logic for the emergence of Moltmann'secological theology;Second, the relation between Human and Nature is a core to generalEcological Ethics, while Ecological Theology comes up with a new relationmode: God, Nature and Human. This mode can provide a new way of thinkingwhen we consider the relation between Human and Nature. It can at least helpus regain awe to the unknown world, and let us reexamine the status ofHuman;Third, Moltmann has displayed the possibility of finding alikenessamong differences and the methods of deepening understanding amongdifferences by means of comparative analysis between Taoism and Christiandoctrine. Moltmann's attempt offers a reference value to how to treattraditional Chinese Ecological Ethics and how to deal with the relationshipbetween traditional Chinese Ecological Ethics and its western counterpart andfinally to build an Ecological Ethics system of our own.
