A Research On Jurgen Moltmann’s Ecological Theology

The ecological movement and the development of ecological ethics is the inevitable result of global ecological crisis. The study of western ecological ethics has a considerable result in academic areas, including breadth and depth. In contrast, the domestic research under the main ideological, atheism, has a little studied about Christian ecological theology, today there is a bit of a lag in the background of that, the rapid development in the study of ecological ethics and the construction of Chinese ecological view of the world. As the depth modern Christian study of ecological crisis, the ecological theology is the key to understand the study of western ecological ethics.Jurgen Moltmann was born in 1926, a German Christian theologian, who is famous in the global theology world. He became a Christian in a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War. He was taught theology in Eberhard-Karls-Universitaet Tuebingen 1966 to 1994, his writings were translated in many languages, and he is considered one of the most important theologians in the 21 th century. Through the German ecological theology representative Moltmann’s theory, to achieve the place have a clear view of the Christian ecological theology and aim at the goal that building Chinese ecological world view. First of all, from the subject construction of Moltmann’s study of ecological theology, analyze the basic question in the research, form the core of the concept, study method and form; second, focus on his ecological theology work, "god in creation", analysis and induction. Around the basic questions and the research on the core concept, Moltmann’s theory formed a complete theoretical system, including the view on god, cosmos and human, this system is not the research in simple way of "god- nature- man", it is the argument under the faith of creation, in the reasonable approach. Finally, begin from looking for the value of Moltmann’s theory for the construction of Chinese ecological world view. His ecological thinking shows the possibility of communication from the boundary and seeking common ground while reserving differences, the significance is there for Chinese culture understanding and reflection on the current ecological problems, and the formation of ecological thinking. Absolutely, it made some contribution to the domestic research for Christian ecological theology.
