The Researches On The Trend Of Thoughts Of The Liberalistic Literature And Its Contemporary Significance

As the trend of thoughts opposite to that of the Left-Wing in 1930s and 1940s, the influence of the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literature in the history of the Modern Chinese Literature is not to be neglected. But for a long time, due to the influence of ultra-left ideological trend of thoughts, the researches on the trend of thoughts of the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literature have not been carried on well. Since the New Period up to the 1990s, some researchers gradually set foot in this area, but they did not shape up a valuable form. The researches on the trend of thoughts of the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literature are mainly done in the latest decade with prominent achievements but also with some errors.Having classified and analyzed the researches on the trend of thoughts of the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literature by the academic circles in the latest decade, the thesis finds that the relations between the Liberalistic Literature and the Contemporary Literature which the researchers discussed seem to be not enough. On the basis of the researches of predecessors, the paper turns over to think the termination of the trend of thoughts of the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literature related with the integration of the Contemporary Literature through reviewing the process of its termination in brief;it attempts to discuss the visible or invisible impression which the Liberalistic Literature make on the Contemporary Literature in several aspects at an angle of the spirit of the Liberalistic Literature;basing on having analyzed the state of the Contemporary Literary Criticism briefly, it approaches what we can learn from the Modern Chinese Liberalistic Literary Critic, in order to construct the Chinese Contemporary Literary Criticism Theory and make it develop healthily and purely.The concept of the Liberalistic writers has also some deficiencies. They emphasize repeatedly that literature must "detach from reality", that "art must keep off real life". Their opinions reflect some laws of literature creation, but they make the social life showing in their works relatively narrow. They lack works which are full of the spirit of the times. The Left-Wing writers emphasize realistic criticalness and social utility, butthey ignore aesthetic characteristics of literature in some degree. Therefore, the Contemporary Literature must take the neutral way of development, making up its disadvantages by assimilating advantages of the both, combining with the characteristics of the times.
