A Study On The Transformation Of Northwest Ethnic Groups Population The Nationalist Period

The area of Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang is located in the western border of our motherland, and it has historically been an important area of multi-ethnic mixed. During the Nationalist period, the natural disasters and wars occurred frequently in Northwest region, ethnic society is in a serious state of disorder. Coupled with the impact of the wave of China's modernization and both within and outside the force , the development of minority population in the Northwest, has shown a special development trend. Demographic transition has begun sprouting, but not in the true sense of the population, the population of northwest ethnic groups is still in the traditional system, its population is still a traditional type of population types. Slow population growth, primitive type of population movement occurred frequently, the typical traditional demographic structure is the several important features of the minority population development for the period.This article is on the basis of absorbing and learning from our predecessors in this study, with rich information of population, using research methods to study literature of history, structural analysis and case studies of Population sociology , to social factors and population changes to the interaction point, to the Northwest ethic groups population in the mainline, Systematically explored various features of the change of Northwest ethnic groups population in the Nationalist period. And on this basis, we Initially identified a certain law in the development of the Northwest ethnic groups population, and it can provide some reference for the implementation of Today's Northwest ethnic groups population policy.
