Explication Of Translation Of Fuzzy Rhetoric From The Perspective Of Relevance Theory

This study is aimed to provide a theoretical model for the translation of fuzzy rhetoric, which is still at nascent stage of development in translation studies. The focus of this study will be explication of translation of fuzzy rhetoric from the perspective of relevance theory, an originally linguistic theory. For this purpose, the definition of fuzzy rhetoric translation will be defined in a clear-cut manner, the textual features of fuzzy rhetoric will be demarcated and the interpretation power of relevance theory will be fully elaborated. With all above mentioned tasks completed, the study will marshal day to day translation examples of both English and Chinese to demonstrate how in line with relevance theory translation of fuzzy rhetoric can be conducted with ease and efficiency. In the end, it will, based on the previous work, outline the future study focus.
