Han Dynasty is a very important period in Chinese history. It is between Qin Dynasty and Sui and Tang Dynasty, and it is the first height period to develop economy and culture. NanYang was situated between south and north, and it was the one of key city which in politics and economy and culture in that time. The peculiar geographical environment brought up the magnificent culture in Han Dynasty's NanYang. Han Dynasty'pictures in NanYang was the art which main character was native culture before the ripe Buddha art. They recorded the history more than one thousand years, and recorded a lot of physical culture in Han Dynasty, and supplyed the first data which for studying the physical culture in Han Dynasty.This thesis belongs to basic theory research and uses documents method and cultural relics. It discussed the Han Dynasty's physical culture and researched the characteristics and status in history about the stone inscriptions of NanYang in Han Dynasty. The studying results shows that:First, Han Dynasty's stone inscriptions in NanYang includes many contents, and they were produced from the needs of producing work or treating or military training or jubilation or happy. This thesis observed the law of the development of physical culture, and depended on the social background or characteristics or function or style etc. to devide the physical culture's formations into 6 types, and told about the corresponding formations which in Han Dynasty's picture, and compared the similar aspects.Second, physical culture in NanYang'stone inscriptions in Han Dynasty is more flourishing, but it wasn't seperated from the art of music and dance and acrobatics, and it blended itself with them, so Han Dynasty's physical culture isn't the modern physical culture.
