A Study On Words Of Appraising People In Epitaphs Of From Han(汉), Wei(魏) To Six Dynasties(六朝)

The unearthed documents are of special values, so to them are attached great importance more and more by academic circles. As one kind of unearthed documents, Epitaphs are abundant and varied. Moreover, the language materials of Epitaphs are authentic and reliable, thus they are important materials of studying History, Language, Calligraphy, Culture, etc.With the language materials of research of Epitaphs of from Han(汉),Wei(魏) to Six Dynasties(六朝), this paper sets an object of studying on words of appraising people and describes the situation of the words in those times, as well as this paper classifies those words by their meaning and structure, studies their semantic meaning, investigates their origin and development, then inquires into the best standard of conducting oneself in society or the ideal model of character. In this paper, its author tries to make an overall and thorough investigation and study by means of theory of describing lexicology, pragmatics, semantics, etc. Due to the monographic study of appraising words is blank at present, this paper aims at not only giving service to research in the history of Chinese vocabulary and in the history of ideology, but also causing academic circles pay attention to the study of the words of appraising people.This paper includes four chapters. Chapter Ⅰ is an introduction to what the author tells us the materials and range of the study, the objects and tasks of the study, the aims and significances of the study, the train of thought and methods of the study. In chapter Ⅱ, the author describes the words of appraising people in Epitaphs of from Han(汉), Wei(魏) to Six Dynasties(六朝) by means of their meaning and structure. In chapter Ⅲ, the author studies the semantic meaning of those words, such as the properties of words' semantic meaning, the constitution of words' semantic meaning and the analysis of semantic fields. In chapter Ⅳ, the author investigates the situation of the whole history of Chinese vocabulary and the situation of the history of ideology. After this text, there is a brief conclusion which summarizes the characters of the researching objects and the problems existing in the study.
