A Study On Words Of Diseases In Epitaphs Of The Tang And The Five Dynasties

As an important unearthed document buried in the ground,epitaph can truly reflect the relevant information of the death of the tomb owner.The death of the tomb owner due to illness is also mostly recorded in the epitaph.This paper takes the epitaph of the Tang and the Five Dynasties as the research corpus,takes the disease-related words as the research object,adopts the method of double evidence and statistical description,and combines the relevant knowledge of lexicology and semantics to study the disease-related words in the epitaph of the Tang and the Five Dynasties.In order to contribute to the overall study of Chinese vocabulary,this paper mainly studies disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties from three aspects: overview of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties,interpretation of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties and analysis of word-formation of the disease words in the epitaph of Tang and five dynastiesThe content of the paper is as follows:The introduction is the explanation of the reason for the topic and the research materials of this paper,the introduction of the epitaph of the Tang and the Five Dynasties and the research status of disease words,as well as the purpose and significance of the research,research methods.The first chapter is an overview of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties,including the definition and classification standard of disease words and the general appearance of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties.On the basis of the definition of disease words,we divide the collected disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties into nine categories according to their lexical meaning: etiology,development of disease,disease symptom,disease position,disease condition,diagnosis and treatment,disease recovery,generic name and other categories.The number and source of each category of words are counted to show the overall appearance of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties.The second chapter is the interpretation of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties.Based on the classification of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties and taking the uncollected,incomplete meaning and insufficient examples of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and the Five Dynasties as objects,this paper interprets them respectively from the aspects of word interpretation and illustration supplement,in order to provide reference for the compilation and revision of dictionaries.The third chapter is an analysis of word-formation of the disease words in the epitaph of Tang and five dynasties.Firstly,this paper combs the word formation mode of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and Five Dynasties from the internal combination of morphemes,and then gives a detailed description of the formal,associative,referential,subject-predicate,supplementary and overlapping words in the compound words of disease words in epitaphs of the Tang and Five Dynasties from two aspects of the composition of the meaning and the formation of the parts of speech,so as to explore their internal laws.The conclusion is a summary of the main content of the thesis.
