It looks on the exploration of 'national bad spring' in Luxun's novels as treating patient which emphasizes on finding the diseases and symptoms both in mental and physical, and also on finding the cause of diseases by experiment and dissection to provide the necessary bases for curing. 'Analyzing badness' in Luxun's novels, such as Nahan, Panghuang and New Stories, just is a kind of deep study and exact diagnosis to 'national bad spring' by a clerisy with medical knowledge. Luxun set up many typical characters, such as A Q, woman Xianglin, Kong Yiji, which makes readers criticize themselves and motive their courage to save themselves.The first part introduces the medical background of Luxun It is very important for Luxun to actively accept the western science. That's why his novels are so meaningful to the era. Luxun had systematically learnt the western science and accepted western advanced culture, including advanced knowledge and research method which is the basis of studying 'national bad spring', from 1898 to 1906. In his novels, he analyzes the 'national bad spring' automatically by using similar methods in medicine such as dissection, experiment, individual case survey and clinical observation.The second part discusses his calmly and sharply dissection on 'national bad spring'. It thinks that Luxun's novel anatomizes the 'national bad spring' as lack of honesty, love and independent nationality. Lacking of honesty results in paying attention to honor, not reality; lacking of love makes his characters in miserable situation; lacking of independence makes nationalities suppressed by feudal formality and religious systems.The third part is about the hopeless experiment to love and hate, right and wrong.
