Confucianism through the history of the Chinese nation, the Confucian national thoughtis an important part of the whole Confucian thought system. In view of the different politicalsituation that people lived, who have different national ideology. In the Confucian classics,the Spring and Autumn Annals have a close relationship with the political. During the Songdynasty, the study of the Spring and Autumn has inherited the Han and tang dynasties’academic, and enlightens Ming and qing dynasties’ study, which has the uniquecharacteristics of the times. The Song dynasty, especially during the Nan song dynasty, is anervous national stage of the China’s ancient history. when people experience the prosperityof the Tang dynasty, they have to face anther situation that several national regimes, likeKhitan Liao dynasty, the Western Xia regime and the Jin dynasty, have exist in the same time,which is a huge psychological impact to the people who have Han chauvinism. Hu Anguo, thefounder of the Hunan school, who’s national ideology represents a considerable part of literati.Hu Anguo’s Spring and Autumn Biography is praised highly by the rulers after it finished.The reason of it has two sides: On the one hand, it can help the ruler to maintain thegovernment’s rule, on the other hand, it reflects that people approve his thoughts. The authorthinks that to study the national thoughts of the Spring and Autumn Biography that Hu Anguowrite can reflect the national relations in that time.The paper mainly discusses Hu Anguo’ national ideology that his Spring and AutumnBiography can reflect. The paper includes introduction and main body. The introductiondescribes the topic-researching background, the researching purpose and the review on studiesof Hu Anguo’s national ideology. The text is divided into four parts. The first part introducesHu Anguo’s personal narratives and his learning inherited. The second part introduces thewriting backgrounds. This part covers three small parts. Firstly, in the social historybackground, the paper mainly elaborates the national political background, which to introducethe relationship between the Song dynasty and other minority regime to understand thespecial historical situation. Secondly, in the cultural background, the paper explain the policythat the Song dynasty belittle armed forces and value the Confucian culture, so people canexpress their own ideas through his own book. In addition, after the Later Tang, the style of the Spring and Autumn Annals is transformed, and people can express themselves in theirfreewill. At last, Hu Anguo’s persistent pursuit to the Spring and Autumn Annals. The thirdpart is mainly analyzes Chinese tribes relationship that in Hu Anguo’s book. The contentincludes four aspects. First of all, the paper tells the distinguish of the Chinese and the tribes,which is comprise of regional difference, the traditional Confucian ethics and the Confucianking-subject Chinese nation’s sense of honor. For anther, Hu Anguo is opposed to ally withminority regime. He also gives an example of the lessons that the former dynasty have done.He thought the minority regime have no good faith, so we should not ally with them. Thirdly,we should improve our national strength, and then use benevolent government to control theminority regime. Fourthly, the paper set forth the “revenge”, which mainly wants to recoverthe lost territory that seizes by the minority regime. At the ending of the paper, we summarizethe preceding research, and give a valuation to Hu Anguo’s national ideology.
