Textual connectives, as the most typical cohesive means in a text that its proper use is one of the key factors in the coherence and integrity of a context. This thesis affiliated with the textual connectives for the study aimed at identifying the problems of students' errors on the use of textual connectives, and through the semantic and pragmatic analysis of some Chinese textual connectives with a view to provide some useful information for the Chinese language teaching and research on the textual connectives.This thesis regards " teaching grade outline of middle and high ranking in teaching Chinese as a second language" as the main basis at first, have chosen 24 textual connectives which are the most representative and commonly more used ones, and then have designed a questionnaire that is to fill a vacancy with textual connectives. Through the investigation, we find that there are five comparatively outstanding problems exist on the students' use of textual connectives.Continue this thesis focus on, a semantic and pragmatic analysis of three textual connectives—Really, Certainly, But, which are easiest for foreign students to make mistakes, according to the data of the survey. At the end of the article, we also put forward some suggestion about the teaching of textual connectives in TCSL.
