Yangshi Lei Furniture Archives Research

"Yangshi Lei"is the honored name of the Lei family who took charge of the design of the imperial buildings over 200 years in the Qing Dynasty, their architectural practice covered a wide field of city planning, imperial palaces, gardens, temples, tombs, princes' residences and so forth. The"Yangshi Lei"Archives include blueprints models and those relative literatures.Some UNESCO world cultural heritage sites are designed by"Yangshi Lei". The"Yangshi Lei"Archives are the basis to repair those heritage sites. Meanwhile, the"Yangshi Lei"Archives have showed us the excellent traditional culture in science and art fields of Qing Dynasty.By researching the"Yangshi Lei"Archives, we want to clear up the Archives which mentioned furniture, and to research into"Yangshi Lei"'s contribution to furniture design and manufacture, finally I want to illustrate my own opinion on how to inherit the Qing-style furniture and our excellent culture.
