Study On Baizhu Dance, Baizhu Song And Baizhu Lyrics

Baizhu Dance was one of the famous dances in the ancient . At first , it was a folk dance in Wu and then was introduced into the royal court. It was improved by artists and became very elegant and wonderful, which it flourished for hundreds of years. In Six Dynasties , Baizhu Song was used to accompany Baizhu Dance and hence was subordinate to the dance. But in Tang Dynasty , Baizhu Song could separate from Baizhu Dance and was performed besides accompanying the dance. Baizhu Song was quite popular and maybe had two edits, Jiangnan Baizhu and Zhongyuan Baizhu in Tang Dynasty. Because of flourishing of Baizhu Dance and Baizhu Song, the poets took active part in writing Baizhu Lyrics in order to praise Baizhu Dance or be used as the lyrics of Baizhu Song. In Wei Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the poets imitated a lot of Baizhu Lyrics most of which was collected in Yuefu Shiji. And the poets wrote more Baizhu Lyrics in Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasties. After Tang Dynasty, Yuefu Baizhu Lyrics evolved Ci and Qu.Baizhu Lyrics has a close connection with Baizhu Dance and Baizhu Song. Yuefu Baizhu Lyrics' evolving into Ci and Qu reveals the developing of poetry form. For this reason, study of the three is helpful to provide a clue to study of the connection between poety and music and to study of poetry form' evolution. The studying object of this thesis is Baizhu Dance , Baizhu Song and Baizhu Lyrics with an aim to reveal the mutual influence of poetry and music and to explore the evolution of poetry form.This thesis has four parts, foreword, the first section, the second section and concluding remarks.The foreword introduces studying value of the proposition, studying methods and original creation.The first section has two chapters. The first chapter aims at verifying the time and the place of birth of Baizhu Dance and at studying the spreading of the dance.
