Both the mainland and Taiwan belong to one China. This is a universally recognized fact to the entire Chinese people from earlier periods. Most of Taiwan people loved China very much at the moment of coming back to motherland from Japan in 1945. Taiwan had been put back under the jurisdiction of Chinese sovereignty at the end of the Second World War. It became an issue only as an aftermath of the ensuing anti-popular civil war started by Kuomintang, and more especially because of intervention by foreign forces. They created the division between the two sides of the Straits. The mainland and the Taiwan were separated for more than fifty years from 1949. During those years, the Taiwan people emerge puzzling and diverged on identity and national identity. The phenomenon is presented obviously in the recent parties' election and the public polls. The question is cared and contemplated by whole Chinese. The tendency of Taiwan people's "Taiwan independency" national identity becomes the deep obstruction to reunification of China. The reunification of China is the integration of the reunification of govern and sovereignty as well as the integration of the straits people's psychology and "Chinese identities" sublimation. So this article investigate starts from the status of the Taiwan people's national identity, indicates the tendency of Taiwan people's national identity that evolutes from "Chinese identity" to "Taiwan independency identity". Then analyze the reasons of the national identity evolution and change. The analysis can help us to understand the Taiwan people's notions and psychologies deepen the understanding of the both sides' people. The article puts forward many suggestions that are based on the principles of "Taiwan problem is our Chinese problem and we can solve it by ourselves". The author thinks they can slow the "Taiwan independency" identity and the author also hopes they can contribute to the reunification of China.
