Poetry which be adapted into stage drama is a common phenomenon, for Chinese literature which backs to history. The paper has borrowed the theory of genre analysis, and comparing two different genre with the same narration. Then the paper try to establish the systems which compare poetry with drama, and analyzing and explaining the different factors which working on image-building in the poetry or drama.Firstly, the paper has simplified the dramas which select narration from the other literary works. Through this common phenomenon, we try to search a feasible background for genre analysis. Secondly, according to genre of poetry and drama, as representative examples, JuYi Bai's three poems and the dramas adapted would be in our study field. We choose two comparative perspectives, one is Lyric identity, the other is narrative identity, which be used to analyze the particulars of these works. The former based on the relatives of content and form between poetry and drama, to compare these three groups of works in detail with four aspects as follows: music performance, poetic words borrowing, poetic production, profundity goal. Applying to the narrative theories, the latter stripped out the stories from three groups works, and are under the narrative time, narrative point of view, narrative structure, in order to find what brings and what loses during the adaptation.
