The senior scholars generally call Wang Chong the remarkable philosopher and the famous thinker. This text studies Wang Chong in terms of"scholar", introduce this psychological scientific word of"temperament", go on definition and explanation that comparatively standardize to"scholar temperament", and through an analysis of East Han Dynasty person and Wang Chong, in order to discuss"the scholar temperament of Wang Chong". This text thinks,"scholar temperament"are mainly pointed: There is noble and unsullied character, farsighted ambition, link life and academy together, look for the real meaning of the culture life and future distant view; Have independent academic personality, does not depend on politics, does not worship the authority blindly, do not curry favour with the person with noble status, do not fawn on customs; Have criticism spirit of having nothing to fear, realistic, seeking truth spirit, initiative spirit, it is spiritual to go against the tide; Look forward to consciousness, suffering consciousness; worry the state's safety, feel concerned about people's sufferings, regard state people as ultimate care.
