Rolston's natural value theory is a new value theory for it breaks traditional value theory, namely value is not only an evaluation activity, but also a process of detection. He regards theory of evolution as background with resort to modern ecology description, systematically expounds an objective and intrinsic value, attains some environmental duties through deduction, and puts forward a kind of basic ecological ethics. It is necessary that Rolston render the problem of the natural value again. Among of few philosophers, he is outstanding. But because his theory involves the most advanced problems in this field, does the nature have or have not the value? If have, is it subjective or objective? Does the nature have its intrinsic value besides having the value of means(tool)? Whether can the ecosystem regulation equal the ethics norm etc.? These problems are put forward on the outstanding position of the argument again. This article is impossible to evaluate each opinion of objective, intrinsic natural theories. But from Rolston's natural value theory(his theories'logic premise, argument process and his conclusion), with resort to some representative scholar viewpoints, We can really find some places to affirm, to discuss and to surpass in his natural value theory. We can also see some scholar's mistaking and misunderstanding. Therefore, Rolston's natural value wants to surpass"human being-centralism"and to establish an universal moral connection between the man and the nature. What we need to do is to put the man into the district community combined by nature community and society community, really promote"the man"role as the cultural existence. Meanwhile, we should extract Marx's rational thoughts about connection between the man and the nature, about the resources of the modern system wholism.
