Research On Ecological Moral Responsibility Based On Rolston’s Theory Of Natural Value

Nowadays,the environmental crisis in the world is intensifying,and human beings need to transform from industrial civilization to ecological civilization,which calls for the awakening of human consciousness of ecological moral responsibility.The confirmation of the intrinsic value of nature is the cornerstone of the rational existence of environmental ethics."Natural value theory" as rolston environmental ethics thought essence and the logical starting point of theoretical system and its value of nature at all levels to reveal the full depth,it offers a rationale for the establishment of the ecological moral responsibility,and people to love nature,protect nature provides a theoretical guidance and practical action logic support.At the same time,the study of this topic can provide a reference for the theoretical development of China’s environmental ethics and the practical exploration of China’s ecological civilization construction.Rolston surpasses the traditional value paradigm and understands value as an objective attribute of things."creativity" is an important feature of value,that is,where there is creativity,there is value.Then,on this basis,the gestalt model of natural value of creation and evolution is described.Through multidimensional examination of the gestalt of natural value and comparative study of it with anthropocentrism,biocentrism and earth ethics,this paper demonstrates the inherent,objective,hierarchical and systematic connotation and characteristics of natural value,as well as the reasonable limit of human particularity.This lays a theoretical foundation for the systematic study of ecological moral responsibility.Based on the theory of natural value,the generation path of ecological moral responsibility is "fact → value → obligation".Its rationality basis is realized through the combination of ecological law and human moral,mediation by natural value,present value,through the facts to realize the fact and the value of connection,and then through the "man should protect the valuable existence" the ethical spirit of gold law,realize the value and the obligation of connection,thus the transition of civilian hierarchy.On this basis,since value not only condenses in the individual,but also diffused in the whole and the system,it is appropriate for ecological moral responsibility to extend from the individual to the whole.In addition,from the perspective of human’s special ecological niche revealed by the theory of natural value: Only has the cultural attribute and moral ability,is the only double span a unity of "biological-culture" as a result,only one has been able to should also be active as a moral agent identity,respect natural moral status,customers on the basis of respecting nature respect life and love the nature,sets up the co-prosperity coexistence of man and nature ecological moral belief.Ecological moral responsibility has important practical significance in many practical dimensions.First,it is applied to policy choices,including ecological civilization construction,sustainable development concept,environmental policy value judgment and decision-making.Second,it is applied to economic activities,including promoting enterprises to develop circular economy,carrying out clean energy transformation,advocating personal green consumption and other fields.Thirdly,it is applied in cultural education: in the education,awakening and recovery of citizens’ ecological awareness,when ordinary citizens transform into ecological citizens in an allround way,they will realize the conscious action of citizens’ ecological moral responsibility,thus promoting the rapid development of environmental cause.
